- Richard Anstead, Head of Product Management, Grocery, Fairtrade Foundation
Richard is the Fairtrade Foundation’s Head of Product Management for all grocery products and has worked for the Fairtrade Foundation since 2005.As part on the Commercial Relations Team at the Fairtrade Foundation, Richard’ team is responsible for driving sales and awareness of all Fairtrade products in the UK. As the Fairtrade Foundation works towards it’s five year strategy entitled ‘Tipping the Balance’ taking Fairtrade into the mainstream market Richard and his colleague have worked on projects with a wide variety of companies such as Nestle UK, Cadbury’s, Traidcraft and Dorset Cereals.Richard graduated in 1998 with a BA (Hons) Degree in Financial Services. On graduation he was recruited by Unilever PLC`s subsidiary company Elida Faberge.He worked within National Account and Category Management for over 3 years and went onto work in Retail Management for a specialist Outdoor Clothing and Equipment retail chain.Richard also has first hand experience of working in developing countries and spent 9 months in Africa and worked for a Development NGO in Tanzania.

Susanne Kettler graduated with a diploma in Nutritional Sciences from the Technical University Munich-Weihenstephan/Germany in 1995. In 1998 she finished her thesis as a ‘Dr. oec. troph.’ in the area of nutritional physiology where she studied zinc deficiency and its effects on lipid metabolism.
Within 10 years working for the food industry, she gained in-depth experience in the areas of quality assurance, product development and scientific & regulatory affairs. In 2008 Susanne joined Coca-Cola Services s.a. in Brussels, the European research headquarter of Coca-Cola, where she is working as SRA Director Regulatory Affairs being responsible for all food legislation matters for the company’s European Union Group.

Christian Baz is a holder of a food technology engineering degree from ENSIA Massy, France (1997) where he majored in quality management. Christian started his career as an inspector for the Lebanese ministry of agriculture in Beirut before moving to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN in Italy as a professional officer for consumer protection. In 2000, he joined Nestle as a centre based expatriate and held several key positions including quality manager for Nespresso in Switzerland, assistant factory manager for Cerelac in Iran, quality manager for Nestle Nutrition in Germany. Christian has participated in Academia, teaching at the Lebanese American University and the Saint Joseph University institutions in Lebanon. In 2007, he joined Ajinomoto in Tokyo as a quality and regulatory affairs manager. Presently, Christian serves as the quality assurance and regulatory affairs director of Ajinomoto for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
- Harold Poelma, Managing Director Cocoa, Cargill
Harold Poelma currently is the managing director of Cargill’s cocoa activities in Europe, Africa and Asia. These activities are part of Cargill’s global cocoa & chocolate business. He has worked in the cocoa industry for Cargill in the Netherlands since 2001. He joined Cargill in 1987 and has held various management positions in Cargill‘s refined vegetable oils business, in Cargill’s oilseeds processing division and grain trading division in Europe and the United States.
He has a master degree in industrial engineering & management science from the University of Technology in Eindhoven.
